I am an IT worker based in Banda Aceh, specializing in the technology infrastructure of an organization to ensure that computer systems, networks, and software applications run smoothly and efficiently. I also manage publication and documentation tasks, such as collecting photos, videos, and articles, as well as editing and presenting them to the public. I am currently employed by Ministry of Public Works and assigned to BPJN Aceh.

Work experience

IT Support Specialist (2024-Present)

Since 2024, I have worked as an IT Support Specialist at BPJN Aceh. My primary role involves providing technical assistance and resolving IT-related issues for the organization. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware and software problems, ensuring network connectivity, and maintaining IT infrastructure. I am also responsible for providing training as needed, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems. Additionally, I handle project documentation, content editing, and publishing on the website and social media platforms.

Web Admin & Developer (2016-2023)

I worked as a web administrator and developer at BWS Sumatera I. My responsibilities centered around developing web-based applications to support organizational operations. Additionally, I served as an administrator for public services, handling complaints related to web applications and responding to information and data requests. I was also involved in documenting projects and events, editing content, and publishing it on online platform.

Researcher (2015)

I worked as a researcher at DMIR (Data Mining and Information Retrieval Research Group). Our primary focus involved collecting extensive textual data from websites to build an automatic classifier and repository. This work was pivotal in advancing techniques within data mining and information retrieval, encompassing tasks such as data extraction, processing, and analysis to develop systems capable of autonomously categorizing and storing information.

Biography

Amir was born on November 29, 1992, in Pidie, Aceh, Indonesia. He developed a keen interest in information technology, photography, and agriculture from a young age. After graduating from Islamic Boarding High School, he decided to pursue Information Technology Major at Syiah Kuala University. In 2015, he graduated from the university with a degree in Computer Science (S.Kom).

Determined to become financially independent, Amir decided to seek work in order to gain income and valuable experience. He joined the DMIR Research Group (now the DS&AI Group) at his university, following a recommendation from Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, S.Si., M.Tech.

In 2016, after just two months of developing and presenting a web-based application project to BWS Sumatera I, Amir transitioned to a full-time job admitted to the organization, having gained significant recognition for his work. Today, Amir is a dedicated and accomplished web developer with over 10 years of experience in developing, managing websites, documenting and publishing. Throughout his career, he has shown a strong passion for using technology to create innovative solutions.

Currently residing in Banda Aceh, Amir continues to enhance his knowledge through online learning platforms. In his free time, he enjoys engaging in DIY projects related to agriculture and woodworking with his little family.
